At an extraordinary news conference, DSS vice-president Dragan
Marsicanin explained the decision as a result of Friday's decision
of the ruling DOS coalition to dismiss 50 members of the Serbian
Assembly, of which 23 from the DSS, because of their absence from
sessions.
The DSS will form a shadow government, insist on early
parliamentary elections and undertake legal measures against the
DOS Presidency decision, Marsicanin said.
He stressed that the DSS would also withdraw from the parliament if
the administrative board implements the DOS decision and dismisses
the MPs.
The withdrawal would not place the government in jeopardy, since it
would still have a majority of 141 MPs of the total 250.
