Ivo Sanader believes that the government's attitude to the laid-off
policemen who have been protesting in front of the government for
two months is inadmissible, and claims that criteria under which

The HDZ's proposal that parliament discuss layoffs in the Interior
Ministry and Interior Minister Sime Lucin state the criteria for
layoffs, which was put forward a month ago, should be accepted,
Sanader said at a news conference on Monday.
The HDZ president warned about the case of Zvonko Lovrencic, a
former soldier and prisoner at the Bosnian Serb camp of Manjaca, who
has been on hunger strike since April 1. He showed the reporters
Lovrencic's message in which the laid-off policeman claims he will
rather die than tolerate the unjust situation in which those who had
tortured him and killed Croatian police and people and destroyed
Croatia had more rights, including jobs, than those who defended
Croatia and made sacrifices for its freedom.
