VINKOVCI, May 18 (Hina) - A man suspected of war crimes against civilians was arrested at the Tovarnik border crossing in eastern Croatia on Monday while attempting to enter the country from Yugoslavia, Vukovar-Srijem County police
said on Tuesday.

The suspect, 61-year-old Milos P. of Berak, a village near Vukovar,
is on a list of 54 persons from Cakovci and Berak whom the Osijek
County Court has been looking for since 1993 on suspicion that they
committed war crimes against civilians, said Jadranka Kurbel,
investigating judge with the Vukovar County Court.
Milos P. has been transferred to the Osijek county prison.
