vicinity of Gospic (central Croatia) in 1991, witness Kristina

Miletic said that she knew nothing about what had happened to her
father from then on, except that he was buried in Smiljan, and the
death certificate stated September 3 as the day of his death.
She said that she had heard people tell stories about how her father
was part of the prisoner exchange programme, and that he had been
thrown out of a helicopter above Smiljan.
Ivica Turic, a member of a Croatian Army brigade in Perusic in 1991,
testified that he had secured the location of liquidation of Serb
civilians in Lipova Glavica. He said that his commanding officer,
Miodrag Hecimovic, had told him that they were "securing the
exchange of Serbs for Croats from Siroka Kula".
Turic said that he did not see the liquidation site, nor any
civilians, and did not know who fired any shots.
The trial continues on Tuesday.
