Zivkovic said that all those on the Hague's list currently located
in Yugoslavia who had not surrendered themselves would be arrested.
The five who reported for surrender have been given 15 days to go to
The Hague, as agreed with tribunal's office in Belgrade. The
deadline for Mile Mrksic, accused of war crimes in Vukovar in 1991,
was extended to 30 days due to his ill health.
The government's attitude is that Milan Milutinovic, the current
president of Serbia, should remain in office until the end of his
mandate, and The Hague does not have any objections to this,
Zivkovic said.
In response to statements by chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte that
the former commander of the Bosnian Serb army, Ratko Mladic, is in
Serbia, Zivkovic said del Ponte should state where he was so that he
could be arrested.
Minister Zivkovic confirmed that four accused would travel to The
Hague next week - Nikola Sainovic, a former Yugoslav deputy prime
minister accused of crimes in Kosovo in 1999, Milan Martic, accused
of shelling Zagreb in 1995, Vladimir Kovacevic, accused of crimes
in the Dubrovnik area, Momcilo Gruban, accused of crimes at the
Omarska detention camp, and Mile Mrksic, who will join them at the
end of May.
