Vlah headed the back office of the Assets Division of the Rijecka
Banka's Foreign Currency Sector until October 2001, when she left
the post. She is suspected of having caused a loss totalling
US$479,822.31 in the period between 1 and 31 January 1998.
The first suspect Eduard Nodilo incurred losses in differential
arbitrage, while Vlah registered them falsely in bank books, Kulas
said, adding that more evidence incriminating Nodilo had been
collected.
Vlah is one of the first witnesses in an investigation against
Eduard Nodilo and Snjezana Podobnik, suspected of abusing
authority and forging documents and causing around USD100 million
of damage to the Rijecka Banka.
