There are "many elements for the lawsuit against Petritsch," HSK
president Sime Sito Coric told reporters in Zagreb.
"With the lawsuit we want to make waves and show solidarity with
Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Coric
In the statement to the governments of Croatia, Bosnia, the United
States, and the European Union countries, the HSK says it wishes "to
point to the difficult situation of Croats in Bosnia... the violent
and undemocratic actions of the international community (which)
tramples one people's right to media space, represses language and
schooling, imposes dictatorial election rules, 'supervises'
private banks with the army and tanks."
"In the common interest, we demand that this practice stop and the
damage be repaired," Coric told reporters.
The HSK has given four annual awards for activities connecting
Croats at home and the diaspora, the promotion of Croatian national
interests and of Croatia around the world.
The awards were given to Croatian MP Zdenka Babic Petricevic,
Croatian Radio and Television editor Zvonko Bozinovic, journalist
Carl Gustav Stroehm, and the skiing champion family Kostelic.
The HSK is an umbrella organisation comprised of national
associations of Croats from around 30 countries with a Croat
immigrant community.
