The letter, which was signed by five academicians, 24 Croatian
artists, the Zagreb Quartet and the Zagreb Soloists, mentions a
stop work which, the signatories said, could have negative
consequences for the country's political rating, the cultural
profile of its citizens, and tourism, which "would be reduced to the
most vulgar of forms without cultural offer".
The protest letter was signed by academicians Nedjeljko Fabrio,
Nives Kavuric Kurtovic, Ivan Kozaric, Djuro Seder and Miroslav
Sutej, as well as Relja Basic, Pero Kvrgic, Fadil Hadzic, Ivan
Kusan, Vinko Bresan, Josko Juvancic, Krsto Papic, Tonko Ninic and
Vladimir Krpan.
