President Mesic will be heading a state delegation at the New York
summit, the President's Office said in a statement.
Mesic and his guest also discussed additional protocols to the
Convention on the Rights of Children concerning the status of
children in armed conflicts, the sexual abuse of children, and
child pornography and trade.
Croatia has made significant progress in the area of protection of
children's rights, Allen said, but warned about the problem of
child abuse and the presence of mine-fields, which threaten
children's lives.
