According to current Interior Minister Ljuben Boskovski, Ljubomir
Frckovski not only did not conduct a full enquiry immediately
following the assassination attempt on Gligorov but rapidly
covered any traces and then allowed for the perpetrators to flee
from Macedonia. Boskovski stated that one of the assassins is today
still living abroad and as the press have reported one other
assassin is an Albanian currently living in the Czech Republic who
donated an armoured Mercedes to President Gligorov after the
assassination attempt which was later proven to have been stolen.
