ZAGREB, April 9 (Hina) - "Eminent Croatian Scientists in the World", a presentation of works by Croats who on the basis of their scientific work abroad have become renown in world scientific circles, was presented in Zagreb on Tuesday
at the premises of Matrix Croatica.

World", a presentation of works by Croats who on the basis of their
scientific work abroad have become renown in world scientific
circles, was presented in Zagreb on Tuesday at the premises of
Matrix Croatica. #L#
The bilingual book, written in Croatian and English presents
portraits and the works of nine scientists whose careers began in
Croatia and who became renown through their work in scientific
circles abroad. The book was published by the Croatian-American
Association in Zagreb in co-operation with the Croatian Homeland
Foundation.
With this book, the editor, a professor at the Zagreb
Pharmaceutical-Biochemical Faculty Janko Herak, has continued a
series of presentations of scientific careers of Croats abroad. The
first presentation was of reputable Croat scientists in the United
States.
This book presents experts who reached the top of the ladder in
world scientific circles. Amongst them are experts in development
biology, Davor Solter; a professor of pathology, Ivan Damjanov;
molecular genetician, Miroslav Radman; bio-physician, Stjepan
Marcelj; mathematician, Zvonimir Janko; geodesist, Stjepan
Horvat; physician, Vladimir Glaser; bio-physician, Jasna Peter-
Katalinic and computer scientist, Danko Gajski. These are all
experts who are at the very top of the ladder of world scientists
with regard to the number of citations referring to their works.
