The bank's management tendered their resignations for the second
time, explaining it with the wish to contribute to the
stabilisation of the bank.
The change of the bank's management ensued after internal control
discovered irregularities in the bank's foreign currency sector on
March 6. After the discovery, the bank pressed charges against
Eduard Nodilo, the bank's main stockjobber, who was arrested on
suspicion of embezzlement. The head of the foreign currency sector,
Snjezana Podobnik, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of
assisting Nodilo in foul dealings.
The county prosecution will decide tomorrow whether the
investigation request for Nodilo should be extended to include
Podobnik as well.
