The minority Montenegrin government was established at the
beginning of last July after parliamentary elections in
Montenegro. It consists of experts from the DPS and the Social
Democratic Party.
Zivkovic said his party would soon withdraw parliamentary speaker
Vesna Perovic.
The Social Democratic Party also announced its withdrawal from the
minority government if the Montenegrin parliament on Friday
adopted the Belgrade Declaration on the establishment of new
relations between Serbia and Montenegro, signed by Montenegrin
President Milo Djukanovic and Premier Filip Vujanovic.
Leaders of the pro-Yugoslav coalition have urged changes to the
Constitution and early parliamentary elections, or a so-called
concentration government, consisting of representatives of all
parliamentary parties.
Djukanovic's DPS has been criticised by those political forces and
coalition partners who are disappointed with the Belgrade
agreement, because their political programme is to create an
independent Montenegro.
The Belgrade agreement stipulates a joint Serbian-Montengrin
state.
