FAZANA, March 15 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said on Friday he was satisfied with the outcome of today's meeting of the ruling five-party coalition, which Prime Minister Ivica Racan said helped resolve the current
government crisis after coalition members expressed readiness to cooperate. "It is good that the coalition has found a way out of the crisis, it is good that we are leaving the state of crisis and turning to problems burdening our country," Mesic said in the northern Adriatic town of Fazana. He also said the situation in which the public was kept in suspense due to somebody's ambitions was inadmissible. Asked about requests for the Hague tribunal to cancel command responsibility, Mesic said, "if it was cancelled, Milosevic could leave the Hague prison tomorrow." "Those who advocate the cancellation of command responsibility want Milosevic free, and that would not be good," he said.(hina) sb
