ZAGREB CATHEDRAL ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - The coffin with former Zagreb Archbishop, Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, was transferred from St. Stephen's Chapel in the archbishop's palace to the altar next to the main entrance to Zagreb's
Cathedral on Thursday morning. Zagreb Assistant Bishop Josip Mrzljak led the ceremony which was attended by canons, nuns, seminarians and family of the deceased Cardinal. Mrzljak said the archbishop's palace in Zagreb has been a home to Cardinal for the past 38 years. The Pope John Paul II personal delegate, Cardinal Jozef Tomko, will hold a memorial service for Cardinal at 11AM. Several thousands faithful have been paying their respects to Cardinal Franjo Kuharic in front of Cathedral. The memorial service will be attended by Croatian state officials, party leaders, several cardinals, Croatian and foreign archbishops and bishops, and about 500 priests from Zagreb Archdiocese.
