class car, or for example, room or kitchen furniture, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday. The average monthly net salary per capita in 2001 amounted to 3,541 kuna (EUR479), which in nominal terms is 6.5 percent more than in 2000, while in real terms the increase amounts to only 1.6 percent, as against 2000, the State Bureau of Statistics said. The average monthly gross salary in 2001 amounted to 5,061 kuna (EUR683.9), of which 30 percent goes to taxes and contributions.
