ZAGREB, March 13 (Hina) - A basket of consumer goods made by the Alliance of Independent Unions of Croatia on Wednesday shows that minimum living expenses of a four-member family in January and February in Croatia rose by two kuna.
Minimum expenses in December 2001 amounted to 5,212 kuna and in February 2002 to 5,214 kuna. The basket of consumer goods in January reached 5,212 kuna, of which 35.13 percent accounted for food. A total of 29.04 percent accounted for accommodation costs, 11.9 percent for clothing, 11.48 percent for education and culture, 7.91 percent for transport, and 4.54 percent for hygiene. According to financial agency data, the average net pay in December 2001 amounted to 3,607 kuna and covered 69.21 percent of living expenses.
