ZAGREB, March 12 (Hina) - Talks between Croatian President Stipe Mesic and his Hungarian counterpart Ferenc Mandl on Tuesday focused on global terrorism issues. I would like Croatia to initiate and organise a conference on combating
terrorism, similar to the one organised by the Polish president in Warsaw last year, Hungary's head of state told reporters after the talks. President Mesic did not say whether he would organised the conference but he said the most important thing in combating terrorism was eliminating the atmosphere which causes terrorism. Naturally, it is important to fight terrorists and persons who finance them, but what is more important is to eliminate poverty and stop regional conflicts, Mesic said.
