KUALA LUMPUR/ZAGREB, Feb 20 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Wednesday visited the island of Borneo on the last day of his visit to Malaysia. During the visit, Mesic held talks with the State Minister of the federal state
of Sarawak on the strengthening of economic relations and tourism cooperation, sources in a delegation accompanying Mesic said. Mesic was also taken on a tour of the preserved areas of a tropical rain-forest and several tourist locations in the Malaysian part of Borneo. Members of the Croatian delegation held talks with their hosts on the strengthening of economic relations and visited a local chamber of commerce. Mesic ends his South-East Asia tour, during which he has visited Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, with a day-long working visit to the sultanate of Brunei on Thursday.(hina) rml
