SIBENIK, March 1 (Hina) - Croatian police searched two trawlers caught poaching near the Kornati islands on Feb. 26, on a Sibenik Magistrates' Court order, Sibenik police said on Friday. Police found one trawl net and confiscated 50
kg of fish from one, and one trawl and 60 kg of fish from the other boat. The captain of the Guasto, Paolo Caselli, was fined with 66,000 kuna. He also has to pay another 21,000 for the keeping of the trawler. The captain of the Paisa 2, Claudio Renzoni, was fined with 60,000 kuna. He, too, has to pay another 21,000 for the keeping of the boat and the police escort. Both men had been dispossessed of fishing tools, which they bought back after the court proceedings for 10,000 kuna. Today police will also carry out an administrative procedure.
