THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, Feb 28 (Hina) - Former Yugoslav President
Slobodan Milosevic on Thursday continued his attacks on
international war crimes tribunal's prosecutors, this time
accusing them of eavesdropping on his telephone conversations.
"It is your obligation to investigate the abuse of my calls,"
Milosevic told the judges after the examination of witness, Kosovo
Albanian Halit Barani, in the trial for charges of crimes committed
in Kosovo.
Milosevic claimed that all questions prosecutor Geoffrey Nice
asked the witness in the morning part of the trial included what
Milosevic discussed the previous day with his assistants who
provide him with information about every witness .
Judge Richard May, presiding over the Trial Chamber, asked Nice to
explain Milosevic's allegations.
I do not have access to the defendant's communication, Nice said,
adding that all issues about which he asked the witness, were
included in the summary of a witness statement submitted to the
judges and Milosevic before the trial.
May confirmed this and told Milosevic to first check his
information before such accusations.
Milosevic has said several times he did not read materials given to
him by the prosecution.
