SARAJEVO, Feb 28 (Hina) - Stabilisation Force (SFOR) members in Bosnia on Thursday morning started a military operation in the Foca area, in eastern Bosnia. SFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, Daryl Morell, confirmed a military operation was
underway in that part of the country, but refused to give and further information. Republika Srpska television has reported two SFOR helicopters landing near Foca, at least two detonations and gun fire being heard. The same source reported SFOR members had entered houses in the area, all telephone lines in the area being disconnected, as well as electricity. According to media speculation, the region of eastern Bosnia, including Foca, is presumably the region where the most wanted war criminal, Radovan Karadzic, is allegedly hiding.(hina) lml
