centre in Pozega, Srdjan Mladjan, 21, who killed a police officer in the Zagreb neighbourhood of Borongaj on Monday night and then held hostages, was arrested at 1:32AM on Tuesday morning in Zagreb, Zagreb police department spokeswoman Stanka Saraja said today. Saraja told Hina Mladjan ran into a hostage situation after escaping from the place of murder of the policeman, which ended with his surrender after several hours of negotiations. At 19:50 hours last night Mladjan fired three shots killing a policemen at the entrance to the building where he was hiding.
