ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - Through a loan programme of the Ministry for Crafts, Small and Middle-Scale Business, almost 1,600 loans worth more than EUR100 million were granted by the end of January, the ministry said. With the help of
the loans, new product lines and equipment were built, primarily in the wood, metal and textile industries, new farms were established, agricultural mechanisation and fishing boats purchased, etc. The ministry tried to stimulate the development of small-scale business through a greater involvement of local communities which are actively participating in the development of entrepreneurship. Budgetary funds were set aside last year for the establishment and development of business centres and the construction of business zones.
