that despite intra-party affairs, the government and its members
would continue working responsibly as long as his cabinet and
individual ministers remained in office.
At the beginning of today's government session, Racan said he
expected the government and each of its members to wholly
contribute to a responsible performance of state tasks.
The PM was indirectly commenting on yesterday's information that a
delegation headed by Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic had
postponed a trip to the United States where it was to present the
national economy and possibilities of investments and hold an
energy conference outlining the government's plans for the
privatisation of Croatian power companies.
Racan said today his cabinet would carry out what had been agreed
with the U.S. in that respect, but that some side events, for
example meetings with the Diaspora, might be cancelled.
He confirmed Fizulic would not travel to the U.S.
Nothing is being postponed and we shall not allow intra-government
affairs to harm economic interests, the PM stressed.
