ZAGREB/SARAJEVO, Jan 29 (Hina) - A Stabilisation Force (SFOR) spokesman in Sarajevo, Daryl Morrell, on Tuesday evening denied the authenticity of an alleged SFOR intelligence document on the Croatian government's intention to arrest

The document is a forgery and is not an SFOR document, Morrell said in a phone interview with Hina, commenting on the document the president of the Association for the Protection of Homeland War values (HONOS), Nenad Ivankovic, distributed to reporters today. ZAGREB/SARAJEVO, Jan 29 (Hina) - A Stabilisation Force (SFOR)
spokesman in Sarajevo, Daryl Morrell, on Tuesday evening denied the
authenticity of an alleged SFOR intelligence document on the
Croatian government's intention to arrest or kill, with the help of
the intelligence, a retired Croatian general and Hague war crimes
indictee, Ante Gotovina.
The document is a forgery and is not an SFOR document, Morrell said
in a phone interview with Hina, commenting on the document the
president of the Association for the Protection of Homeland War
values (HONOS), Nenad Ivankovic, distributed to reporters today.
The chairwoman of the Croatian parliament's Committee on Internal
Affairs and National Security, Djurdja Adlesic, believes the
government or the Office for National Security (UNS) should voice
their stand on the document to put an end to public disturbance.
UNS head Tomislav Karamarko told Hina the SFOR document was a
forgery and "a bundle of lies which are the product of a sick mind."
Adlesic recalled that a little over a week ago, members of the
Committee received a written document from the Croatian
Intelligence Service (HIS) and the UNS declaring the alleged SFOR
document false, which the SFOR subsequently did as well.
Karamarko said the UNS would "undertake measures it is authorised
for, which could also lead to criminal charges for the
dissemination of false information and public disturbance."
Government spokeswoman Aleksandra Kolaric said this evening the
paper Ivankovic distributed to reporters at today's press
conference was a forgery as the SFOR confirmed.
"It is obvious some individuals need such forgeries to continue
their campaign of levelling false accusations at the Croatian
government," Kolaric said, adding the purpose of such documents was
to disturb the public.
