MOSTAR, Jan 23 (Hina) - The commander of the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) Multinational Division Sector South-East, General Maurice Amarger, expresses his sincere gratitude to the Croatian authorities and all who helped save two crew
members of an SFOR helicopter which crashed into the sea near the southern port of Ploce last Sunday, the Division said in a statement on Wednesday. One SFOR officer was killed and two were injured in the crash. Division spokesman Pascal Lebrun said that the help of two fishermen from nearby Blace was crucial in saving the lives of the two injured. Lebrun also commended the professionalism and efficacy of the Croatian police. Asked whether the SFOR helicopter had exploded before the crash or if SFOR suspected possible foul play, Lebrun said he could not give any more details as an investigation was underway.(hina) rml
