PRISTINA, Jan 25 (Hina) - A political agreement among the leading Kosovo Albanian political parties as to the division of authority and the election of president and prime minister has been brought into question again. The strongest
party in the southern Yugoslav province, the Kosovo Democratic Alliance (DSK), said late on Thursday evening that negotiations with the other parties had fallen through and refuted all rumours to the effect that it had renounced the prime minister's post. The Kosovo Democratic Party followed the DSK statement by saying it was willing to reach an agreement. In Friday's commentaries, local political analysts say the chances for reaching an inter-party agreement might increase after the impending visit of the European Union's high commissioner for the common foreign and defence policy, Javier Solana.(hina) ha
