OSIJEK, Jan 23 (Hina) - The association of Croatia's returnees on Wednesday forwarded decisions from the last session of the association's Steering Committee to top state officials, including President Stipe Mesic, in which they
expressed dissatisfaction with proposed amendments to the Law on Areas of Special State Concern. Dissatisfied with the proposed amendments, which are being discussed in the Croatian parliament today, the association's Steering Committee demands of the government and the parliament to pass an entirely new law which will establish the rights and incentives for the areas of special state concern for at least 20 years. The returnees believe that not a single serious entrepreneur or foreign investor will invest in these areas unless more favourable conditions are created.(hina) it sb
