OSIJEK, Jan 22 (Hina) - The Croatian Returnees' Association (ZPH) from Osijek-Baranja County on Tuesday forwarded an open letter to deputies who represent areas of special state concern in parliament, expressing dissatisfaction with
proposed changes to the Law on Areas of Special State Concern. The ZPH considers the changes "definitely unacceptable because they envisage a further rapid reduction or cancellation of returnees' rights," reads the letter. The association is particularly critical of a proposal on increasing the number of municipalities to be included in the system of areas of special state concern not according to the principle of war damage, but the state of their economy.
