ZAGREB, Jan 18 (Hina) - Croatia's export of goods in the first eleven months of 2001 increased by 3.5 percent in relation to the same period the year before, while Croatia's import increased by 17.5 percent. According to the State
Bureau of Statistics, in the period between January and November 2001, Croatia exported goods worth US$4.26 billion, while at the same time the country imported goods worth US$8.36 billion Croatia's trade deficit exceeded four billion dollars (US$4,099 million), which is 36.6 percent more than in the same period in 2000. More than a half of Croatia's export (55.8 percent) goes to the European Union countries. Croatia's most important trade partner is Italy. Export tO Bosnia increased by 13 percent.
