SISAK IRONWORKS HAS NEW OWNER FROM VIENNA AS OF TODAY SISAK, Jan 16 (Hina) - An international investment group, headed by the Austrian-Russian company "Trubo Impex" from Vienna is the new owner of the Sisak Ironworks as of Wednesday.
The new company has got a new name, "Sisak Ironworks-Nova d.o.o.". After a three-week collective vacation, 1,700 employees began working today. The remaining 80 employees have been made redundant. They are mostly people who meet conditions for early retirement or have volunteered to terminate their work contracts. They will be given severance pays, officials of the new company said on Wednesday during the opening of the works. "Trubo Impex" bought the Sisak company, which was bankrupt, for one kuna. It paid five million euros for the existing machinery and products reserves, and will be investing another 2.5 million euros for a general overhaul of the company's units, and another 7.5 million euros for the
