SOLIN, Jan 8 (Hina) - The Solin town leadership on Tuesday established a headquarters for following the clearing process of the Jadro River, into which masut from the "Dalmacijacement" factory leaked. The leadership assessed that the
spectre and consequences of the pollution were significantly more difficult and bigger than had been thought first. How much masut was leaked into the river was not said. The Ministry of Environment Protection and Zoning on Tuesday assessed that between 1,000 and 2,000 litres had been leaked into the river, but the exact amount was not known. The town leadership requested all competent institutions to do everything to fight the pollution, and of Dalmacijacement to cover all the clearing and damage expenses, as well as to urgently undertake technological measures so the incident would not reoccur.
