ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Friday received a delegation of the Israeli parliament's foreign policy and defence committee headed by chairman David Magen, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The
delegation said the meeting with Picula was an additional step in the development of Croatian-Israeli relations. Both sides agreed the relations were friendly and good, and that both were interested in furthering them, particularly in the economy. Minister Picula said an effective struggle against terrorism was a common interest which also included fighting prejudices and generalisations regarding and the roots of terrorism. Picula added the stabilisation of relations in the region was an important criterion of a successful foreign policy. Picula accepted Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres' invitation to visit Israel, and invited him to visit Croatia as well.(hina) h
