MOSTAR, Jan 5 (Hina) - High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina Wolfgang Petritsch warned that the times of enormous international financial assistance to Bosnia-Herzegovina were over, which meant that entrepreneurs must now attract
direct foreign investments. In an exclusive commentary for Mostar's daily "Dnevni list", Petritsch on Saturday assessed that by the end of this year, two thirds of Bosnian companies would be privatised. Bosnia is currently attracting 14 US dollars per citizen, while the amount in Croatia is 299 dollars. If you look at unemployment statistics, the tie between foreign investments and employment is clear. Privatisation and foreign investments are tightly connected. Both present instruments of creating riches which have proven themselves successful in transition to the free market in other countries in transition, Petritsch explained.(hina) lml
