ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - The Croatian government's Council for Ethnic Minorities at Tuesday's session adopted a draft proposal for the allocation of funds secured in June for a programme envisaging the creation of conditions for the
cultural autonomy of minorities.

allocation of funds secured in June for a programme envisaging the

The Council earmarked 120,000 kuna for Radio Daruvar for broadcasts in
Czech and Serbian, and 370,000 kuna for Croatian Television for
programmes in minorities' languages and the training of reporters
covering them. A local TV in Cakovec received 240,000 kuna for a
programme for the Roma, Radio Dunav 100,000 for a Serb-language
broadcast, and Varazdin County 120,000 for the cultural autonomy of
the Roma.
The session, chaired by Aleksandar Tolnauer, also addressed the
temporary funding of minority councils and representatives.
Tolnauer congratulated the new minority deputies on their recent
election to parliament.
