European Union next year, Slovenia will make efforts to strengthen
cooperation with countries in the region, Slovene Foreign Minister
Dimitrij Rupel said in his New Year's message on Tuesday.#L#
Next year, Slovenia will strengthen cooperation with non-EU countries
and their Euro-Atlantic integration process remains a challenge and
important task for Slovene diplomats, Rupel said.
He said that Slovenia's foreign policy in 2003 was exceptionally
successful given the results of referendums on joining the EU and NATO
and activities regarding the reform of the EU following enlargement.
