ZAGREB, Dec 11 (Hina) - The government has adopted a temporary measure on the introduction of duties on the export of wheat in order to prevent possible disturbances on the domestic wheat market. The measure, which will be in effect
until 15 May 2004, envisages the paying of 2.9 euro for every 100 kilograms of exported wheat.

measure on the introduction of duties on the export of wheat in
order to prevent possible disturbances on the domestic wheat
market. The measure, which will be in effect until 15 May 2004,
envisages the paying of 2.9 euro for every 100 kilograms of exported

The decision, made by the government on Thursday, will take effect
eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
As a result of this summer's drought, this year's wheat yield of
some 610,000 tonnes is by 38 percent lower than last year's yield.
