Asked about what he expected of the new government regarding the
Hague-based tribunal, Mesic said guilt must be individualised
adding that collective accusations will stop after concrete people
be charged with concrete crimes.
"Then we will be able to cooperate with our neighbours of whom we
ask, particularly of those guilty for the aggression to help in the
individualisation of guilt," Mesic said.
Asked about the new prime minister designate, Mesic said the
Croatian Democratic Union would most probably gather the majority
in parliament regardless of the fact that it did not find coalition
partners. He said the HDZ would receive the support from minority
MPs and some parties that will support premier designate Ivo
Sanader even without signing a coalition agreement.
Commenting on media headlines about alleged irregularities in the
INA oil company regarding the import of oil from Libya, Mesic said
it was mere speculation and that there was no point to waste time on
that.
