ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - The State Electoral Commission said on Tuesday that by 1000 hours it had counted ballots from all polling stations in ten constituencies, and that it was yet to process returns from one polling station in constituency no. 11 for the expatriate community and from several polling stations in constituency no. 12 designed for ethnic minorities.
ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - The State Electoral Commission said on Tuesday that by 1000 hours it had counted ballots from all polling stations in ten constituencies, and that it was yet to process returns from one polling station in constituency no. 11 for the expatriate community and from several polling stations in constituency no. 12 designed for ethnic minorities. #L# According to the partial results, the fifth Croatian parliament will have 152 deputies, including 27 women. The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will have 66 representatives (eight women), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) 31 (11 women), the Peasant Party (HSS) 10 (two women - one from the party list and one from the minority list), the People's Party (HNS) 10 (including two women), the Party of Rights (HSP) eight (one woman), the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) four (one woman), the Social Liberal Party (HSLS) two (one woman), while the Democratic Party (DC) will have one seat which will be filled by a woman. The new parliament will also have three representatives of the Pensioners' Party (HSU) and one of the Democratic Peasant Party (HDSS). Sixteen women deputies from the previous parliament will also sit in the new parliament. Having won 57.89 per cent of the votes of the expatriate community, the HDZ will have four parliamentary deputies representing Croatian citizens living abroad. (hina) vm sb
