ZAGREB TO HOST CONFERENCE OF DEFENCE MINISTERS FROM S-E EUROPE ZAGREB, Nov 18 (Hina) - Croatia on Wednesday plays host to a meeting of Southeastern European Defence Ministers (SEDM), the Croatian Defence Ministry announced on Tuesday.
The SEDM forum is a political and military initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation among countries of Southeastern Europe, Italy and the United States in the area of defence with the final goal of speeding up the entry of the countries of Southeastern Europe into Transatlantic institutions, especially NATO. The meeting will be attended by defence ministers from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.
