PRISTINA, Nov 17 (Hina) - NATO Secretary General George Robertson on Monday called on the political leaders of Kosovo Albanians and Serbs to clearly support a multiethnic Kosovo and to work together to reach that objective.

Robertson said that NATO was in war against the Milosevic regime in
Kosovo adding that he advocated a multiethnic Kosovo in which all
citizens would have freedom of movement.
During his working visit to the province, Robertson met senior
international and Kosovo officials.
The NATO Secretary General, whose mandate expires in December,
pointed to the need for the return of refugees and the restitution
of their property. The return of displaced persons is one of the
eight conditions which Kosovo must meet before the start of
negotiations on its final status, scheduled for 2005, Robertson
said.
