Ivica Racan said on Tuesday that if the SDP fared poorly at parliamentary elections later this month, he would resign to the post of party president. "If the SDP doesn't succeed, I will certainly tender my resignation at the party convention in December," Racan said in an interview with Vecernji List daily which will be published in its entirety on Thursday. However, Racan estimated that his party would not fare worse than at the last parliamentary election in 2000.
