DUBROVNIK, Nov 6 (Hina) - Croatian People's Party (HNS) leader
Vesna Pusic presented the party's platform and candidates in
constituency no. 10, which covers Dubrovnik-Neretva County, in
Dubrovnik on Thursday, saying the HNS had defined a strategy and six
main goals which she said would be the next government's task. #L#
The priorities include admission to the European Union, an economic
platform based on a 6.5 percent growth rate and a 40 percent
reduction of unemployment over the next four years, a reform of the
justice system, a strategy for the development of science and
higher education, and the preparation of Croatia's agriculture for
the EU market.
Pusic told reporters the HNS based its running in the November 23
parliamentary election on what it had done so far, six goals it
planned to do, and on the people capable of doing it.
The HNS has proved that it can realise all of its projects, she
said.
According to Pusic, the incumbent government fared the worst in the
judiciary, which she said needed to be reformed.
Judging by gross domestic product per capita, Croatia is right
behind the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Hungary, which shows that
the current government has been successful over the past four
years, Pusic said.
The HNS is standing the election in coalition with four regional
parties in four constituencies, which highlights the HNS' regional
concept, Pusic said.
