(HIP/HB) coalition believes that it will be the surprise of the

After he introduced candidates on the coalition's list in
constituency no. 7, which he heads, Tudjman said the media were
wrong to think that the strongest parties would win the elections.
He believes that the HIP/HB coalition will determine the future of
the parliamentary majority and the policy of the new government.
The coalition's possible participation in the new government will
depend on whether other parties have clearly defined national
interests and development goals.
"If they should meet these conditions, there is no reason not to
form a coalition with the HDZ and other parties of the right," he
said.
Tudjman believes that the upcoming elections will be similar to the
first multiparty elections of 1990, "because at that time, too, the
decision was made on whether we are for Croatia or for Yugoslavia".
The coalition's list in constituency no. 7 is headed by HIP
presidency member Dario Vukic. The parties' platform is based on
investments in human resources and work ability as the bases of
economic development, an active employment policy, and investments
in free trade zones.
