Italy's Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, Croatia's Stjepan Mesic and
Slovenia's Janez Drnovsek will visit locations where Italians,
Croatians and Slovenes were killed during WWII -- the Basovizza
pit, the San Sabba rice mill, and the Gonars concentration camp
site, the daily said, citing the president of the Friuli-Giulia
region, Riccardo Illy, who recently visited Zagreb.
The Croatian President's Office has confirmed that Illy made such a
proposal, which President Mesic accepted in principle.
