HB leader Ivic Pasalic said that the "incumbent authorities will be
in power for 20 more days only".
HIP leader Miroslav Tudjman said the coalition had a programme for
integrating Croatia into the European Union, which at the same time
preserved the country's economic and cultural identity.
HB-HIP coalition members expect 12-18 seats in the new parliament.
They said that after the elections they would organise a referendum
on cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal for the former
Yugoslavia, which they believe should be on the legal and not
political level.
Attending the fund-raiser, among others, were also the wife of the
first Croatian president, Ankica Tudjman, the wives of ICTY
indictees Tihomir Blaskic and Dario Kordic, and the wife of the late
defence minister Gojko Susak.
