ZAGREB, Oct 29 (Hina) - The national council regulating market competition has assessed that the agreement on cooperation which Croatia's oil company INA and Hungary's MOL concluded on 17 July this year, was in accordance with the law
on the protection of market competition.

competition has assessed that the agreement on cooperation which
Croatia's oil company INA and Hungary's MOL concluded on 17 July
this year, was in accordance with the law on the protection of

The decision, which was announced on Wednesday, was made by council
experts after authorised representatives of MOL Hungarian Oil and
Gas PLC. on 18 August asked that the agreement be assessed.
On 17 July this year, the Croatian government and MOL signed an
agreement on selling 25 percent plus one share of INA to the
Hungarians at a price of 505 million dollars. On that occasion,
senior managers of INA and MOL signed the agreement on
cooperation.
The completion of the transaction and the payment of the agreed sum
are expected in the coming days.
