MOSTAR, Oct 25 (Hina) - The steering committee of ambassadors of the

organisation of the ballot. #L#
The 2004 municipal elections will be the first to be completely
organised and financed by local authorities, the PIC said in a
statement delivered to the media by the Office of the High
Representative in the country.
Last year 13.4 million convertible marks, of which as much as 10.6
million secured by the international community, was spent on the
organisation of elections for the state and the two entities'
parliaments and for the three-men state presidency.
The PIC believes Bosnian authorities are capable of assuming
responsibility for the election process and governing the
country.
The 2004 municipal elections capitalise on the success of those
held in 2002, which proved that Bosnia-Herzegovina is determined to
become an independent and sustainable democracy, read the PIC
statement.
