ZAGREB, Oct 15 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Wednesday appointed members of the Council for the Civic Supervision of Security Services in line with the Security Services Act.
ZAGREB, Oct 15 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Wednesday
appointed members of the Council for the Civic Supervision of
Security Services in line with the Security Services Act. #L#
Professor of political sciences Vlatko Cvrtila was appointed
council president, while the members are professor of information
science Krunoslav Antolis, electrotechnics advisor Mile
Culumovic, mechanical engineer Zoran Grgic, political scientist
Nenada Vukman, Human Rights Centre coordinator Tin Gazivoda, and
attorney Miroslav Separovic.
The Council is authorised to monitor if secret services work in line
with the law and to propose solutions aimed at upgrading
legislation pertaining to the work of secret services.
Council members are obliged to keep secret all information they
learn in the course of their work in the Council. They will be bound
by this obligation even after they stop working in the Council.
